Nastya and Peter met…

To paint you a picture, Nastya and Peter met in 2021. They quickly became a pair that you would always see together. On a personal note, Nastya is my cousin and I remember meeting Peter for the first time. Nastya brought Peter to a family gathering and I thought, “They are perfect together and she looks so happy.” Extra bonus points were earned because Peter was equally as competitive as the rest of our family at volleyball. A few years went by and I got a message from Nastya saying they were engaged and needed photos STAT!

The Evermore at Peirce Farm Estate in Topsfield, Massachusetts

Okay, now back to the wedding day. Picture this; a warm summer day, sun poking through the trees, the romantic outdoor wedding at The Evermore at Peirce Farm Estate is getting set up, and final makeup touches are being applied. I walked into the main house where Peter and his groomsmen are dressed and ready to go. I walk up the stairs to greet Nastya, and capture the getting ready details.

Tips for deciding if a first look is right for you.

First off, there is no wrong answer.

As a Massachusetts based photographer, I have seen nerves and anxiety melt away the second a couple makes eye contact during their first look. I always tell my clients, if you tend to get nervous or anxious, it might be helpful to do a first look! That way it will reduce the stress before the ceremony and help you to be more present. In this hypothetical, you get to see the reaction of your partner, and have an intimate moment with them before standing in front of your loved ones.

I have photographed weddings where the couple has always dreamt of seeing their significant other walking towards them or standing waiting for them. This is a beautiful moment to share with your loved ones. If that is where you stand, DO IT! Be true to what’s important to you.

Sibling First Look

Now Nastya and Peter wanted to see each other for the first time during the ceremony. But Nastya wanted to still have a first look experience documented. She decided to do a first look with two of her brothers in the dreamy getting ready area The Evermore at Peirce Farm Estate. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.

Time for the I do’s

Not only was the weather perfect, but the sun made Nastya glow as she walked down the aisle with her brother by her side. This Whimsical outdoor ceremony at The Evermore at Peirce Farm Estate was romantic, dreamy, and so true to Nastya and Peter. Many elements were present during this ceremony; family, friends, tears, joy, and the Lord. Through this ceremony we heard about the individual strength of Nastya and Peter, and the power of their union through Christ. After a heart felt exchange of rings, they said I do and exited their ceremony with a dip kiss.

Time to Party!!

After enjoying a fun cocktail hour, guests started to file into The Evermore at Peirce Farm Estate reception hall. The hall was decorated with twinkle lights ready for folks to dance under. The tables were set with beautiful blues to complement the warmth of the lights. Guests started to file in and our sweet newlyweds spun right into their first dance.

Cue up the soundtrack to your favorite romcom because that’s the feeling you get looking through these pictures. During the reception Nastya and Peter wanted to run away to take a few extra photos of just the two of them, and I’d say that was the right call. We explored the beautiful venue Peirce Farm at Witch Hill in Topsfield, Massachusetts. They have many options for photos including a white fence overlooking an open field, countless wooded areas, as well as an indoor space that was perfect for more intimate bridal portraits.

As the bride and groom returned to their guests, in the rustic barn at The Evermore at Peirce Farm Estate, they danced, cut the cake and shared many hugs with their loved ones. There were countless kiddos running around, taking pictures, and starting conga lines. It’s more than an honor to document such a beautiful and meaningful day in the life of this new marriage.
